Buckets Rookie Sensation QB Pat Binder Out 2 Weeks

Los Angeles- Upon arrival back to L.A. following their stunning upset loss to Stuttgart , the Buckets learned that the injured knee suffered by mercurial rookie QB Pat Binder will keep him out of the lineup for at least 2 weeks. Backup QB David Erickson came into the game and sucked immediately: throwing 2 INT's that directly lead to Stallions TD's and a 21-0 hole that L.A. never dug out of in their first loss of the season 28-10.

"It blows. He was playing so well. But he'll get better and now we get to see how Derrick Nay will play. Hopefully he can shake off the rust!" Buckets coach Tando said.

When reached for comment, newly-appointed starter QB Derrick Nay had mixed feelings, "Well I've been Inactive all season and I must admit I wasn't very happy about that. But now Pat is out and it's too bad it took that injury to get me back out there- but I do want to show the world that I can still play this game..." he said.

Injured starter QB Pat Binder was not happy, "Well @#$%^&*! what can you do?" he said. "We'll hopefully rebound. I know Derrick can play. Next week we have Matewan and they have the WFFL's best D so hopefully we can get some points on the board and I have faith in him to get it done. I just want to heal quickly and get back on the field ASAP!"

Shamed backup QB David Erickson was meloncholy, "I let the team down. My one chance to come in and shine and I stunk up the place right off the bat. I'm glad we rallied a little bit and I got some yards but I couldn't lead us back. Oh, well- now I just prepare and hope to play better if called upon again!" he said.

The L.A. Buckets (3-1) host the Matewan Coal Miners (3-1) on Friday, June 11 @ 6 PM PST

Cheers!
