Los Angeles- After
9 seasons in 3 different "head-to-head" custom leagues, the L.A. Buckets are
changing their primary uniform color for the first time: from navy blue to bucket metallic
grey.
"Entering our tenth season playing this silly game I thought it was about time to get
to the 'pail vision' I had for the Buckets," coach Jay T. said. "Blue has been a
great color for the team but really the identity for a team that calls itself the Buckets
really should have a familar silverish bucket look to them. That and the navy blue
unifroms we had before made us look like the Penn State Nittany Lions or the Indianapolis
Colts. For this we want something unique."
The newly-minted Buckets went out and lost their first scrim of the 2010 season 14-0 to
their regular-season week 1 opponent Alcatraz Crimelords. "That was a good test of
some plays and gave us both a chance to kind of scout each-other as we have never played
each-other before. When the game counts for real next week in the regular season it should
be a great matchup!" Jay T. said.
