Synergistic Stadium, Los Angeles- The Buckets' great season came to an
end tonight with a tough loss to a fine Port City Panthers team, 24-6.
Things were bad from the start, with the opening kickoff fumbled away by L.A. to set Port
City up on the 20.
It got worse as the Buckets committed 8 penalties, many of them at key times to extend
drives for the Panthers as they slowly pulled away and slammed the door late in the 4th
Quarter with Templeton Jackson's 46 yard field goal to close out the scoring.
The L.A. Offense was horrid, as Port City kept the Buckets out of Endzone for the first
time all season and held them to 49 net passing yards and a measly 64 yards on the ground.

Buckets QB Randy Maitland finds WR2 John Martin for a big 34-yard gain to set up a Field Goal and cut the Port City Panther's lead to 7-3 in the 1st Quarter.
L.A. LB Andre Tippett recovers this Panthers fumble with just seconds left in the 2nd Quarter, setting up another Field Goal to keep the Buckets in the game and trail close at the half, only down 14-6.
From the Port City Press: "The Panthers #1 goal in this Conference Championship was to win. The #2 goal was to stop Del Thompson. We did both. Great game Jay.................."
