Bunnies almost blow 17 point lead
West Hollywood - The Bunnies jumped out to a
14-0 halftime lead and extended it to 17 halfway through the third as West Hollywood
threatened to run away with the game. Mr. Momentum changed jerseys suddenly when Big
Gay Al was picked off in West Hollywood territory. Mr. Mo helped the Buckets to
score on the next two drives and the lead was just 17-10.
Big Gay responded with a 76 yard TD drive to score what looked to be the death blow
leading now 24-10. The Buckets had the ball on thier 6 with only 3:37 left on
the clock when Carlos Myles busted out his 2 longest runs of the day to lead LA to a 96
yard scoring drive in just 1:36.
The Buckets defense held and gave the LA one last chance with 1:30 left in the game and no
timeouts but they couldnt move the ball. Final score 24-17, WH
Coach K: "We know the Buckets bring a unique and frustating defense, so we decided to
throw a few new wrinkles at them and it was enough to get it done. Our pass blocking
today was the best I've ever seen it and that was the difference in the game. Our
plan was to pass, pass, pass and it worked today.
Tando is one tough bastard. Just when we thought we had him buried, he came back on
us twice and nearly tied it under almost impossible circumstances. I tip my hat to
him."

to raise his season totals to 35-352-0 also season career highs.
"I'll take the touches however man. It took me 3 years to learn how to catch
the ball and today you see I can catch. See mama, I don't need no
books!"remarked a very happy Adrian Fagge.

WFFL's Game of the Week 11:

L.A. Buckets
@
West HollywoodFluffy Pink Bunnies
The Buckets (9-1) travel to West Hollywood (9-1) in a match-up of 2 veteran FBPro players - L.A. Coach Jay T has lost 6 straight games to Fluffy Pink Bunnies Coach Alec K in WFFL play!
May the best Coach win!

Buckets-Bunnies Battle Looms Ahead
Buckets-Bunnies VIII
Los Angeles- The Buckets ( 9-1 ) are gearing for their 8th match-up with their chief rival
the West Hollywood Fluffy Pink Bunnies ( 9-1 ) in the WFFLs Game of the Week 11.
Some would say that it really isnt a rivalry at all since the Bunnies have dominated
the series winning six lop-sided games in a row since losing to the Buckets 14-7 at
home in their first-ever meeting in the 2003 season.
Both teams enter the game with identical 9-1 records- the best start ever for Los Angeles
and it ties West Hollywoods best start last year when they won their 4th consecutive
Insane Bowl Title.
The biggest game the two teams have played was the Insane Bowl 3 the WFFLs
2005 Championship Game. The Bunnies prevailed 23-14.
Buckets Coach Tando thinks the match-up is over-hyped, I dont think we can
even call it a rivalry anymore. That first WFFL game when we beat them is now
looking more and more like a fluke because they have blasted us every time since then. I
mean, come on: 6 straight blowout wins for them is not exactly a competitive series!
But the Buckets may prove to finally have a team to pull it off this time. On Offense,
Rookie RB Carlos Myles has really stepped up to replace Anthony Wolf as the featured back.
He has already surpassed the WFFL Rookie records for rushing yards and TDs after
only 9 games and is on pace for a stellar season. Wolf has moved to Fullback and has not
carried the ball this season- but has blocked well and has also caught the ball pretty
good too with an eye-popping 31 yards per catch average on the season!
The Buckets Defense has really stepped up against the run but has sucked against the pass.
Even though they lead the WFFL in sacks, they have given up a ton of yards in the air.
We run a gambling blitz package- we either get the big sack or the other teams get a
huge pass play off on us. Nobody has really tried to run on us- and why should they? Our
DBs arent the best coverage guys in the league. Tando said.
Good luck Bunnies Coach Alex!
Cheers,
Jay

West Hollywood - Its Bucket week at
the Fluffy Pink Bunny headquarters and everyone knows it. Its a game that is circled
before every season as a must win game as pride is on the line. Its LA vs WH, Pink
vs Blue, Straight vs Gay.
Coach K- "This is always a big game, but this year its even bigger. We are both
9-1 and stuck in this 6 team log jam fighting for the #1 seed in the playoffs. We
both want to keep pace and we both want that tiebreaker. And of course we want to
paint the town our own color. It should be fun."
LB Evan Gladhump-"I've been here for all the great games and had the pleasure of
chasing down a legend in Anthony Wolf, now I get to get go after some fresh meat in Carlos
Myles. He better watch his ass, and I do mean literally, cuz I am coming after
it!"
RB Juicy Cheeks-"The funny thing our rivalry is that we always seem to come up with
some surprises to really throw each other off. I remember last year they came out
throwing. I think they threw 29 of the first 30 plays. I just couldn't believe
it. Hopefully we are gonna have a few new wrinkles they aren't prepared for."
