Buckets Beat The Miners, 26-10
Los Angeles- The Buckets came to play and just about
everything went right for L.A. as they built a big lead and rolled on to a 26-10 victory
over the visiting Matewan Coal Miners.
“We caught a few breaks- and our deep passing game was on fire!” Buckets coach
Jay T. said. “Our QB made some fine throws and our WR’s really surprised me
getting open and making some tough catches.”
Buckets star RB Carlos Myles was hurt in the 2nd Quarter and will miss the next game with
a sore back. Backup tailback Greg Irvin replaced him and had a modest 27 yards on 18
carries but caught the ball well with 53 yards and a TD on 5 catches. He will get the
start next week.
The usually stingy Matewan Coal Miner Defense was out of character giving up the big pass
plays. They played tough against the run, though.
