Buckets Hang On For Tough Road Win Over Biloxi, 17-12
Biloxi-
Those Biloxi River Rats ( 2-11 ) can play! Coach Renee J. proved she is far better than that record by out-coaching Jay T. and the visiting Los Angeles Buckets ( 12-1 ) before falling at home 17-12."They out-gained us for a reason: she called great plays!" Buckets coach Jay T. said. "We benefited from some penalties against them when they held us on 3rd downs - only to keep our drives alive- and a killer INT in the 4th basically was the difference tonight."
The play of the game might have been in the opening drive of the 3rd quarter with L.A. holding a slim 7-6 lead at Biloxi's 25 yard line on 3rd and 4:
"The pass from Los Angeles's QB1 #3 Rodney Hargain is caught by HB2 #35 Gregg Irvin for a gain of almost 25 yards. Touchdown, Los Angeles!"

What made the play amazing was that the Biloxi DB had leveled HB2 #35 Gregg Irvin as he was starting his pass route. Irvin lay on the ground dazed for a few moments then got back up and caught the pass over his shoulder in stride and was able to outrace the DB to the Endzone for the score!
Thanx for the GREAT GAME, Biloxi coach Renee J.!
Cheers,
Jay

(Renee J. is using her husband Brian J.'s ICQ)
[21:32] JayTando: OUTSTANDING game- well coached
[21:32] JayTando: Renee Japp can coach!!
[21:33] Brian J-Omaha: I tried
[21:33] JayTando: thank you so much for the game- I was very impressed
[21:33] JayTando: I won because of penalties by your team
[21:33] Brian J-Omaha: A little luck helps.
[21:33] JayTando: you had a great plan and it worked well
[21:34] JayTando: that INT really hurt you - take that away and I might lose
[21:35] Brian J-Omaha: That first quarter the penalties gave you a couple of first downs that I would have got the ball in better field position. And that INT in the second half killed me.
[21:35] Brian J-Omaha: but all in all good game
[21:35] JayTando: yeah I know I was out-coached this game
[21:36] Brian J-Omaha: Ha, ha!!!
[21:36] JayTando: man you are going to win some good games
[21:36] JayTando: I know you have won already but you will again and big
[21:36] Brian J-Omaha: it probably was the baby's influence clouding my normal judgement.
[21:36] JayTando: hahahhaah
[21:37] JayTando: amazing
[21:37] JayTando: fighting hormones and coaching... impossible
[21:37] JayTando: Brian Japp is one lucky man- you have a great FB mind I respect that
[21:38] Brian J-Omaha: that is why I can't watch the full husker's games anymore I was worried I would go into labor.
[21:38] JayTando: hahahahhaha
[21:38] Brian J-Omaha: all those years of watching football with my dad paid off
[21:38] JayTando: oh yes BIG TIME
[21:38] JayTando: I was shaking in my shoes on that last drive
[21:39] JayTando: that you scored
[21:39] JayTando: you just drove on me easy
[21:39] Brian J-Omaha: all lucky calls :-)
[21:40] JayTando: my TD in teh 3rd was crazy- your DB knocked down the RB and he got back up and caugt it and outran him for 25 yards to teh score
[21:40] JayTando: just carzy
[21:40] Brian J-Omaha: Well good luck, I have to get to work early tomorrow, I told Brian that I can only play games on the weekend, but he doesn't always listen to me :-)
[21:41] JayTando: heheh
[21:41] Brian J-Omaha: Brian told me that was normal Jay luck
[21:41] JayTando: well I appreciate teh game very much - tahnx again. get some rest :)
[21:41] JayTando: Brian can send me the game files and stuff.. sleep well :)
[21:42] JayTando: by the way you out-gained me by 100 yards
[21:42] JayTando: well done
[21:42] Brian J-Omaha: Okay I will tell him, hopefully he listens to me better than he normally does.
[21:42] JayTando: heheheh
[21:43] Brian J-Omaha: good night, and good game
[21:43] JayTando: thanx you too - GL next week :)
