Buckets Clinch # 1 Seed With 31-18 Win Over Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh-
The L.A. Buckets ( 14-3 ) finally got their final regular season game in- against a new coach in James T. - after Tampa Bucs ( 5-12 ) coach Steve C. was unable to play. The original game was SIM'd - but with James T. willing to take over the team they were moved to Pittsburgh and the Berserkers led 9-0 early over the visiting Buckets. But L.A. stormed back for a 31-18 win to secure their first WFFL Regular Season Championship and # 1 Seed in the Insane Bowl Tournament! The game had some controversy early on as Pittsburgh scored on 4th and 19 with an illegal play- the real problem was that it was not coach James T.'s fault- it was the WFFL-Legal Playbook he was using. It was the WFFL's fault for leaving the play in there after a Rules change in the Off-Season made it illegal. Fortunately it was a moot point as the Buckets rallied to win the game. The offending play will be fixed and a new set of WFFL-Legal plays will be made available.
"New Pittsburgh coach James T. really came out strong calling a great game and had us frustrated. This is actually a return to the WFFL for him as he has had a few other visits with us as the Russellville Cyclones, Cordova Steelers, Arkansas Twisters, and most recently as the Arkansas Renegades. They played us real tough- and we welcome them back to the WFFL!" Buckets coach Jay T. said.
Thanx for the great game, Pittsburgh Berserkers coach James T.!
Cheers,
Jay
